Classroom location

• The theoretical classes will be offered each morning from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, in the Anexo Didático Building, next to the Biomedicas 2 Building (ICB2 - unit 36 in the USP map). Address: Av. Lineu Prestes 1374, Cidade Universitária, Butantã.
• The practical sessions will be in the afternoon, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Biomédicas 4 Building (ICB4 - unit 36 in the USP map), Ground Floor, Room 5. Av. Lineu Prestes 1730, Cidade Universitária, Butantã.
• The two buildings are about 200 meters apart from each other.

Access card and badge

• To enter Biomédicas 2 and Biomédicas 4 buildings, it is mandatory to use an access card, which will be valid for 4 days (April 4-7).
• Cards will be provided at the Biomédicas 2 lobby, BEFORE the beginning of the course. You will need to bring an identification document and a digital photo will be taken on site. Please get the card early in the morning in order to avoid unnecessary delays in the course.
• Access cards MUST BE RETURNED after the last class of Friday (April 7) in the lobby of either Biomédicas 2 or Biomédicas 4 buildings.
• Just before the first class, you will receive a badge. Please use it during the whole duration of the course.

Food

• There are not many food options nearby. Several snack bars were recently closed. Next to the the Anexo Didático building of ICB2, there is a snack kiosk (owned by Chico and Maria) that sells coffee, milk, soft drinks, juices, hot snacks and sweets, and is a good option for coffee breaks.
• The same kiosk sells small lunch boxes (very tasty at reasonable prices) and also full lunch boxes with rice, beans, meat, salad and a fruit.
• Other options for lunch are the restaurants located at the Faculty of Dentistry (unit 32 on the map of USP - Av. Lineu Prestes 2227) and University Hospital (unit 31 on the map of USP - Av. Lineu Prestes 2565). Both places are located at the same avenue as ICB and serve many varieties of food (price is determined by the total weight of food).
• It is possible to leave USP campus by foot and have a lunch in some of the restautrants and snack bars located at Av. Corifeu de Azevedo Marques.

Transport

• For those who are coming from other cities, we recommend accessing the SPTrans website, the city's public transport authority. There you can enter start and final destination addresses, and the system will automatically suggest a route, including buses, trains and subway choices. Itineraries of all bus lines of the city are also available.
• For those staying in Butantã district, there are hostels within a walking distance from USP.
• Another alternative is to stay in Pinheiros district, which is not very far from USP (around 6 km). This option is very interesting, since Pinheiros is a very busy and nice district, offering many choices of hostels, hotels, restaurants, malls, bars, dance clubs, etc.
  
• If you are in Pinheiros, you can go to USP by metro (Line 4 - Yellow). Walk to Faria Lima metro station, take the train to Butantan terminal station.  Next to Butantan metro station, there is a bus terminal. Take a bus to USP choosing lines 8022-10 or 8012-10 Butantã Metro - Cidade Universitária. Both lines have a bus stop in front of ICB 2 (see map of ICB).
• Alternatively, if you are in Pinheiros, go by foot to Rebouças Avenue and take the bus 702U-10 Butantã-USP. Another option is to go to Cardeal Arcoverde Street and take the bus 701U-10 Butantã-USP. Both lines stop in front of ICB 2 (see map of ICB).
• To return back to Pinheiros, cross the street in front of ICB and take the same buses in the opposite direction (see map of ICB).
